Our company is getting new e learning development tools this month. It’s going to be awesome. Finally we get to have a great solution to the budget crisis that we have been facing for a long time now.
I think the company’s problem started way back when one of the vice presidents had a big issue. It was a really interesting story too. It seems that the guy had been black mailed by a former employee. Now that the news is out, I remember certain details regarding how it happened. I was actually a witness to the whole thing. But of course I did not have any idea of what was happening at the time. I only saw Mc Kinsey going into the VP of Sales office. Then I heard something break since I was right outside the door. When Mc Kinsey came out, he had a black eye and what looked like pieces of broken glass embedded on his face. But what was weird was that he had a smile on his face. Later we found out that there Mc Kinsey beat himself up inside the VP’s office and blackmailed the VP saying that people will not believe that he beat himself up and that he would sue the VP for assault and battery. It was a scene right out of fight club. I couldn’t believe that he pulled it off.

So that’s how the company’s funds for employee training and development got drained. Kinsey got paid so that he would not sue. And in the end, the company suffered losses. Thankfully, we found the solution. E learning development tools were not only inexpensive, they were also very effective. Now, we could even train employees from home since elearning development tools could be accessed through the net. Nothing beats that!
Of Scams and Free Insurance February 15, 2010

Free insurance quotes are found in the internet. But when I myself looked for a free insurance quote site, I snagged into some problems. The problem was that there were so many sites in the net that purported to give me the same services. How was I supposed to choose among all these sites? I did not know who to trust.
My mistrust of the internet has deep roots. I am seventy years old. Most people my age are not well versed on computer technology. But of course, since I was the type of guy that always wanted to be in sync with the current times and the current trends I immediately set my self up against the task of being a completely computer literate person. One of the first things I learned how to use was my email. I was so excited at getting an email of my own. Then I got some emails from some people I didn’t know.

One of them was from a friend of mine who was asking me to give him some money because he was stuck out of town. The email said that my friend went to Germany. But now he needed some money because he got robbed. I immediately wired some money. Little did I know that this was a scam. It turns out that my friend’s email address was hacked. That was the lesson I got from the internet. It is full of scammers. This is why I am hesitant at signing up for any of these sites that get me a free insurance quote for my car insurance.
What I did was do a little bit more online research. Forums are a good place to find tips and referrals. That’s how I found a good site that offered legitimate free insurance quote services.
Imagine That, There’s California Car Insurance for Non-owners February 5, 2010

It seems that people think of and have answers for everything, nowadays. Like how to make things easier, faster, stronger, safer—everything! All these new gadgets, architectural and engineering marvels, innovations, laws and products amaze me beyond comprehension. You see, I’m not the kind of person who would sit down and think of ways to change the world and help people. I guess I’m kind of nonchalant and maybe a little selfish like that.

What brought this blathering about is because I recently found out that there’s California car insurance for non owners. How amazing is that? And the thing is, according to my cousin (who was, likewise, amazed by my ignorance), it’s not really anything new. You’re probably thinking that I’m retarded, or something, for getting all worked up and excited over a trivial matter such as non owners car insurance, but come on! Isn’t it just the cleverest thing?

Every responsible driver and car owner knows that it is truly important to get the best possible coverage for your car insurance because of all the benefits a person can reap from it. Basically, it’s due to the fact that a car has the potential to be a death machine—a monster of destruction. It can kill people and destroy property and valuables. It’s dangerous enough to own a drive one, but what about the people who have to drive the car of others?
The beauty of California car insurance for non owners is that it allows people to drive practically any car without having to worry about its insurance status. Let’s face it. There certainly are times when you wouldn’t have any other choice but drive someone else’s car. I mean, yeah, it doesn’t offer the same comprehensive coverage a regular insurance would have, but it has sufficient coverage that can provide basic protection in case of untoward car accidents. Non owners’ car insurance policies normally would include liability, medical coverage, PIP, uninsured or underinsured motorist.
I am very happy that there are people out there who have the ability to create and are able to come up with these simple yet revolutionary concepts. Although it is kind of embarrassing to be ‘ignorant’ of these everyday, normal things, I think it’s kind of an advantage because this way, I am able to appreciate the genius and beauty behind them.
It’s Time to Hack—for Elearning’s sake February 4, 2010

So your computer at work sucks, too? Don’t worry, you’re not alone.
It’s so frustrating that the people jostling about on the higher level of the ladder expect you to come up with fabulous output in thirty minutes when it takes roughly five minutes to load a stupid platform on the browser. What’s even more irksome is that they expect us to embrace elearning at work, receive training and professionally improve ourselves when the screen freezes as the antivirus program starts running. They probably don’t comprehend the gravity of having to work with a machine that has a memory capacity of an infant and the speed of a debilitated, elderly man. I mean my OS is Windows ME—ME, for goodness’ sake!
I mean, my twelve year-old sister can probably obtain information faster than I can if were to hold a little contest—she at home, me at work. I bet you a thousand dollars that she can get it done more efficiently, reference more professionals, and get guidance from better sources than I can ever hope to gather and accomplish. I’d probably fare better against my sister if I were to use my BlackBerry. It’s that bad.

The tools we use for our everyday lives have zipped past the ones people use at work. I don’t know why, but it looks like businesses are stupidly hanging onto process, bureaucracy and legacy technology, when they should be trying to sync with today’s society.
They leave working class people like us with no choice, sometimes. We’ve got to take matters into our hands. We should just hack the damn computers at work to suit our needs and working pace. If we want more effective elearning, then we need better software, applications, you name it. I bet you your manager and fellow workers will embrace your initiative, look the other way, if not, and follow your stead.
However, it’s important not to abuse this “hacking movement”. Avoid using social media at work (that means Facebook and Twitter). After all, the administrative office can get a hold of a web usage report every month and find out what you’re doing in your cubicle when you’re supposed to be working for efficiency, progress and what not. Don’t embarrass yourself.

Before Partner Relationship Management Software February 4, 2010

What did companies and organizations do before the creation of partnership management software tools? In the past companies were a lot more complacent when it came to their partnership management. Of course, there were already several strategies and methods in place back in the day. But these were crude. The crudeness is understandably so. Back in the day, the global market is not as fully integrated as it is today. Companies are more for expansion than for partnership.

What where the tools that were used for partner relationship management in the past? Companies used to rely on basic methods for their PRM. They also formulated these processes on their own. It is basically a hit and miss, trial and error activity for getting to the right process of PRM. The tools that were used were pretty basic. Basic spreadsheets for keeping track of everything were employed. Communication was mostly done by phone if not through email. These were crude times. However, as times changed, so did PRM. The advent of the internet created e-commerce. And this eventually lead to the sophisticated Partner Relationship Management software systems that we know of today.
One can find a hard time imagining those days when PRM software was so crude. That is because back then, the internet was not fully integrated to business. But now, it is indispensable. Partner Relationship Management Software is a key factor to the running of large channel clouds.
As time goes by, a business, especially those in manufacturing electronics, will inevitably grow its partner lists. As partner channels become more complex, it is harder to keep track of all the data of shipments, marketing, sales, etc. The necessity for streamlining of Partner Relationship Management was the mother of PRM software invention. And in this increasingly integrated business environment, it is indispensable.
