Probably one of the most prominent things a homeowners can think of while scouting around or purchasing new fixtures or pieces of furniture for the house is:  will it go well with my house paint color?  This is a pressing thought because almost everything else in the house can be changed quite quickly to suit a particularly new addition to the decor.  Drapes can be changed, same with light fixtures and chairs, but one thing remains:  the interior paint colors.  While color combinations inside the house can still pretty much be changed, it is by no means as easy as changing the curtains or maybe taking out the lamp and installing another.  Changing the interior paint color combination can demand quite a bit of time and effort.  For some, it may even mean some back-breaking work.

So what is the best solution for this particular dilemma, since not all homeowners would really want to stick with whatever interior decor they have, regardless of how expensive they were when first bought?

The solution is to use neutral paint colors, the kind that goes with almost any fixture or furniture you can ever buy and put into the house.  People may think about using neutral colors, since probably the most popular neutral color known is silver, and most people will not readily use such a metallic color on the wall of their home.  However, there are also neutral colors in nature, colors which people have all but hardly taken notice of.  Examples of these are the neutral earth tones of deep brown and dark to light gray, colors you would see in the soil of the forest, and on the rocky formations you would find outdoors.

These colors worl quite well when added to other colors, since they will definitely not clash nor overpower other colors.  Being of subtle hues and shades, these colors actually serve to highlight the more prominent and bold colors of other fixtures inside the house, allowing the homeowner to actually go with almost any color theme they would want for their home.  The neutral colors will also go well with virtually any room inside the house and can be used as a good bedroom paint color, living room paint color, and even kitchen paint color.

Neutrals also share some properties with other paint color groups, such as being cool to the eye, and even be relaxing to look at, since it is not overpower and not overtly bold.
