Interior paint colors of houses can be a pain. Yes, there are different things that you can do to create various designs. However, you need to invest a considerable amount of time and effort in order to have your home interiors just the way that you want them.
Here is a little step by step guide to help you in changing your home interiors:
Step 1: Move the furniture
Start by moving your furniture away from the walls that you want to paint. If the furniture is too big or too heavy for you to move, then you can try and cover them up with plastic. The plastic serves as protection so that the paint color that you use in your walls will not accidentally spill over them.
Step 2: Start with the ceiling
Ceilings are a pain because you literally need to look up all the time. So you need to consider if you want to repaint your ceiling or just leave the paint color as is.
Step 3: Fill up the holes and manage the cracks
After the ceiling, you need to go straight to the walls and look for holes and cracks in the wall. Patch them up first before you proceed with painting. Make sure that the surface you paint on is even so that it will be easier for you.
Step 4: Start with the trim work
So you’ve patched up your walls right? Do not start your painting just yet. Instead, go for the trim work first because it is easier to cover up your mistakes using walls paint since the trim work needs very precise detailing. After which you can proceed with painting the walls and finishing up the paint project.
This is a simple step by step guide that you can follow as a beginner. Feel free to comment and give your own suggestions on how to deal with interior paint colors.
